This book it's for beginners. It guide you in step by step system from the basics of photoshop to more advanced features. That is my case so I consider this book very good one, specially helpful for me the web sites design chapter. If you are an intermediate user of photoshop and want to improve or learn new techniques probably this book is not for you.

The Basics, October 15, 2009

This product isn't so much a tutorial on what things are and how they work, but a step by step project book. While each project so far has been short and simple, there really isn't much explanation of WHAT I'm doing.
Its possible that understanding will come with time, but so far it is all click this, point here, click that and you're done!

So its good if you just need to dive in and get over using a new program. Its not so good if you have questions about why this over that.

The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Classroom in a book is a very thorough and well illustrated guide that makes learning Photoshop very easy. It is a step by step tuition program that allows users to follow along with photo examples on the embedded CD. I would recommend this book to anybody learning Photoshop from scratch.
