I was looking for something to help me with some of the more complex features in Elements. This book is doing it for me. Great examples, photos, and procedures in the book. I recommend this book for those who need more in-depth use of PhotoShop Elements.
Excellent book for Photoshop 6, September 26, 2008

M. HicksThis is a book that is designed for those already familiar with Photoshop Elements 6 (PE6). The range of techniques and methods start with some the basics and also include more advanced techniques for handling and enhancing images. Particularly interesting are the non-destructive techniques to modify and enhance important images. Some techniques and methods can be convoluted but are worth the effort to learn.
Highly recommended for those with some experience with PE and who need or want to extend their knowledge across a range of topics at the intermediate level.

As a beginner using the Elements 6, I bought this one to learn more about the software and found out this is what I need to start with. My first book from the same author, "Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, a visual introduction to digital photography," which I did not like as it focus on the basic photo enhancing and functions only. They are all about making permenant change of your digital photos.
This book covers some basics as the first book and take you to what you need to know about digital photo works. Using duplicate and layers, instead of changing the original is much better for everyone, even with snap shots, IMHO.

Very good book to help anyone learn how to get the most out of Photoshop Elements. The book is easy to read and understand. There is also the bonus link to a website to help you learn. I have been working with Elements for a number of years and this book has really helped me improve my picture editing skills.
