The iPod Compatible 3.5mm to RCA Audio/Video Cable allows you to play music, photos, and video from your iPod through your home entertainment system. Using your iPod's headphone jack to get audio and video out to your stereo or television frees up your dock connector allowing you to charge your iPod at the same time.

Kim SwansonThis product is not good at all. Yeah it may cost under a dollar its not good. i have an itouch 2nd generation and it doesnt work. Even though the description says so. you might as well spend money on a product that works and cost more than on this product that has a description that lies to you.
Does not work with gen 5 nano, November 24, 2009

This cable might work with older ipods but it DOES NOT WORK with newer models like the Gen 5 Nano.
Waste of money unless you have an older ipod.
The claim that this works with Gen 5 Nanos is an outright lie.
Works just fine for Audio - way better than the headphone --> RCA output, November 2, 2009

I liked the item just fine, but I'm using it only for audio, not video. If you are considering using a cable to go from your iPhone 3G or most any other iPod, I endorse this cable. The iPod connector provides MUCH better audio quality than going out from the headphone jack.
So while I think I understand the negative reviews for Video (which would seem to be Apple's fault - trying to sell their $50 cable!), the Audio quality is excellent and the price was right. Thanks
Does EXACTLY what the other connectors Do without the $$$, October 21, 2009

made from cheap plastics, this cable may not be of Monster quality (or even RadioShack quality), but it certainly does the job well (when connected correctly).
