Wanna tell a Documentary Story? Show it!, November 11, 2008

This is probably the best book I have read concerning the art of documentary story "showing." Visual stories, documentary or narrative, should be shown and this book will teach how its done. Documentary needn't be boring, uneventful, or strictly dictatorial. Professionals and novices' alike can benefit from this book.

MGSI graduated from film school and currently work for a production company, but I wanted to learn more about making documentaries. The book has a lot of good information and advice. My book is marked up with notes and highlighting. There are several interviews with documentary filmmakers that are helpful. The author uses movies for several examples, which is also helpful.
