I hate to use the cliche, but this does 'fit like a glove'. It only increases the size of the Nano by a fraction of an inch. Slots and holes line up exactly.
The screen protector fits well. There are a few bubbles that I couldn't work out, but they are invisible when the screen is on.
I have a lot more confidence now that I won't damage my Nano if I drop it on concrete. Also, my 16 yr old daughter approves and wants one, so I guess it's 'hip' enough.

Jack Anderson this case was exactly what i was looking for... tough & discrete. on top of that, it was one of the least expensive cases i have seen. another review had mentioned that the case had torn and had no screen protection. i have had no problems with tearing when the ipod has been removed, but to be honest with you, i see no reason to remove it in the first place. the case fits perfectly, unlike some of the other gaudy cases out there. it also comes with a protective screen shield. granted the shield is by no means superb, but i purchased this case specifically for the case, not a screen protector( wasn't aware it even came with one.) the screen protector does its job, but if you're looking for a clean, quality protector, this won't do it for you. that is why i purchased the following full body shield. Invisible Shield Nano Full Body for Apple iPod Nano 4G this is a top quality scratch proof shield.
in a nutshell... you're ipod will have a sleeve that fits like a glove, and as long as you're a bit careful in removing it ( if for some reason you feel the need to), you can rest assured that if you happen to drop it, etc... the ipod will be well protected from pavement, concrete, rocks or whatever else it may hit.

This is just what I was looking for- something to protect my ipod, but not get in the way of using it. It looks sleek and is not cumbersome. As a bonus, it comes with this little cleaning cloth and a screen protector. Unfortunately the screen protector somehow got really bent up in the packaging and is not usable. But since the case does its job and was the main focus, I'm not too worried about the screen protector.
