I ordered the monopod for my Canon HD10 camcorder. I'm in real estate and have begun taking video of the homes that I've listed. The monopod works great. It is easy to use and really helps to stabilize the videos.

Recently we went on a vacation to Sedona AZ and took the monopod with on our hiking trips. It was light weight and quick and easy to use. I'd recommend the product to anyone looking for something compact and easy to use to help stabilize their photography.

If you have problems with camera movement (and who doesn't?) but are in a situation where carrying around a tripod isn't possible, this is a helpful, easy-to-use accessory. It collapses to the size of a small umbrella, is lightweight, so it's easy to carry in your hand or a tote bag even. Your camera screws on top and stays very secure. I've extended it to full size and walked short distances with camera still attached without fear it would come off. I've also used it not extended, placed on a countertop, for still life photos. NOTE: It is not a quick release so if you need that for quick change-ups, choose something else. Very reasonable price, and delivery was quick.

I needed to buy a monopod that would work for both my digital SLR and digital camcorder in those situations where running around with a tripod is not an option. This monopod is sturdy, looks good and works well. I recommend it highly for anyone who needs to have a little help in holding steady a camera or camcorder for any length of time but needs the mobility to make fast location changes.

The mono pod is surprisingly stable and does everything you could possibly want a folding stick to do. It is extremely useful for using smaller high-res cameras since they are harder to hold still.
BUT - when folded it is still surprisingly large. In fact, it is larger (mostly in length) then my TRIPOD by quite a significant margin. And I have a fairly substantial Manfroto tripod.
