Luckily, it was my Time Machine drive. Does what it says it does sort of, November 5, 2009 By Pixel Pusher (Connecticut) I got this to use as a backup for all my office files. In the interactive business, you can't afford to lose clients artwork and design files. As soon as I plugged it in to my Mac, it says that it didn't recognize the drive. I tried for about 30 minutes to get iI to not say that was unable to use any of the preinstalled softwares or setup utilities. I was forced to manually set it up using disk utility and time machine which I am ok with. I was more or less disappointed that it didn't work out of the box, like every other mac compatible peripheral does. Over all its a good drive, quiet, and goes to sleep when not in use which is a good energy saver.  Good solid Back Up Drive..., March 15, 2009 By $GMillionaire (Longwood, FL United States) I am a professional video editor and purchased this drive to give me a back up for certain show elements as well as some media that I do not use on a regular basis. It has handled all I ask of it. I wish it had an e-sata interface and would have gladly paid more for one but other then that for what it is it works just fine and matches one of my systems perfectly. I would recommend it for it's clean lines and quality. |
