This is the ONLY case on the market that allows you to have a skin on the iPhone and a case to carry it. I have had this case since the iPhone came out and have never had it come open and the phone drop out. The two weeks before I had this case, I had one of the more popular cases on the market (that doesn't let you use a skin) and I dropped my phone at least 5 times. I tried another popular case and the clip was so large and the phone was so far from my hip that it would catch on doorways and other objects daily.
I really don't understand some of the reviews on the Elite because it has served me well for many years. I'll bet most of the reviewers were using it without a skin and they are taking a chance at dropping the slick iPhone anyway. Try it with a skin and you will love it!!!

M. BausingerI liked the look and wanted a horizontal case. It is better made than the DLO case, but the closure is not strong enough. It is prone to opening when you are sitting, and when you get up the phone may (and has) fallen out. I would also like it to hold the phone a little tighter when closed. Open I want it to slide out easily, and it does, but it is also loose when closed. Overall, should have bought a different case...

Terrible iPhone case!! Don't waste your money. The left display picture with the case open is totally misleading. The case opens up like an accordion, and does not hold the phone in very tightly. It is also brown in the middle which you can't tell from the picture. So in conclusion if you want an ugly brown and black case that can just open up and let out your iPhone fly out then put down 25 bucks plus shipping on this winner.

Graduate studentThe best thing about this case is that it uses a magnetic closure rather than noisy and ugly velcro. The thing I did not like about this case is that the leather band around the middle of the case is not the same thickness, so the top part of the band that makes the flap is thicker than the bottom part of the band sewn down to the case. This makes the product appear cheaply made. Also, the thicker top part of the band contributes to the case being bulky.
