4.0 Customer Rating solid buy, December 22, 2008

great product. super easy set up and is everything i was expecting. that said, it does not come with a manual like everyone else is saying, but you can get one off the axiom site, so who cares. im new to midi so taking advantage of everything this has is pretty hard, but not worth complaining about. anyone who says this isnt worth buying is too lazy to learn how to use it

this product is solid!! it gives me that extra when i product using virtual instruments in logic express and garage band. the keys fill great! i beat the hell out of the pads! the reaction time is damn good! it doesn't feel like a toy. this is real equipment! for the price you can't lose.

4.0 Customer Rating Very nice for a 25 keys midi controller!, October 25, 2008

It's very nice if you're looking for a 25 keys MIDI controller, you even don't need a MIDI cable cuz it does it all by included USB cable, the only thing is that it doesn't come with a printed manual and the setup it is not intuitive at all!!!

4.0 Customer Rating Now if I only knew how to make music!, August 22, 2008
By Taylor D. Wright (Oakland, Ca)
I love most things about this controller, and in time I'm sure I'll love it even more. The size, weight and feel of the controller are nice, its enjoyable to work with. The system behind it is daunting to someone with no experience with MIDI so the lack of a printed manual works against it; yes there is a PDF manual but when the applications I'm trying to use the controller with takes up the full screen keeping a PDF open for reference is a pain... and I prefer printed manuals. All the movable parts feel solid and encouraging to pound on, which is what I'll do until I learn how to actually make music. The Enigma software seems useful, but confusing, though that may be an issue with understanding MIDI... I don't know, the hardware and software companies don't want to take responsibility for teaching MIDI (they assume you already know). So it seems like something I have to figure out myself before I can really get to the hardware and software.

Oh, I did enjoy the Live LE 6 software, so much I did the free update to Live LE 7, then ended up buying Live 7 outright (the modestly priced $150 keyboard escalated to buying $400 software... ouch).

5.0 Customer Rating Top notch, August 15, 2008

This controller is solidly built, and its small size and usb power make it ideal to carry around. I travel all over with it and the only problem I've had is the warped screen that I got from leaving it in direct sunlight inside my car on a hot summer day. The keys are thick, heavy and easy to play. The pads aren't great, but I don't use them much. In Reason 4, FL Studio 8 and Linux it works perfectly. In the unlikely event one of my Axioms breaks, I'll buy another. I've already got 2. :)
