I've bought 3 of these keyboards - two for home, one for work. I use a mac at work, but don't like their keyboards so I use this one. Have never had a problem with any of these after heavy use for several years. Wow, Microsoft did something right??

This keyboard has been with more for about two years now. The key placement is very comfortable, especially for an ergo keyboard. The quiet type is really soft and smooth. Key placement is alright, though the space bar can get a bit loud when you start typing fast. Unfortunately, the keypad has started to die out (I've lost my 2s and 3s), but I believe this to be a user issue and not hardware.
Nice Keyboard, December 30, 2008

This is a very nice keyboard with an ergonomic feel. I'm a game designer and 3D artist so I work at the computer often. The keyboard is super thin and light weight. The button placement is pretty well thought out. It has all the necessary short cut keys and was easy to set up. I really don't have any complaints so far. I got this for Christmas and will probably continue using it until I upgrade my rig. I'm sure there are other keyboards out there with more bells, whistles, and light displays but this one does what it should. For that reason I rated it as average but don't look at that as a bad thing.

I'm very particular about the various aspects of a keyboard .. almost bordering on serial-killer psychopathic. I have 'swapped' keyboards all the way from different buildings if I found one to be a better feel than mine. And remember these were all the same model. I'm like a keyboard hound so keen that I can detect minor manufacturing variations in a batch supplied to a department.
Now I couldn't bring to my house what I had at work so I tried 36 different keyboards. So there were about 25 boxes pried open on the local Frys' shelf amidst the menacing and despising looks I was getting from the 'this aisle was proudly merchandised by' guy.
This keyboard is quite like I have never heard before. I can type reviews without waking people with the clickity-clack. Dell's self-proclaimed 'Quietkey' keyboard is a joke compared to this. Next the travel and the resistance are phenomenal. Type speed is up almost 100% and typo rates are down almost 50% (I was no spelling-bee but I can spell fine).
Another keyboard was on par with this one but it was a $79.99 Logitech. A bit up there. I think that's all that a keyboard review is about - the intangible aspects that won't hit you till you get your hands on it. So, get two - like me, you might want to replace the one at work as well.
Great Keyboard for Small Hands, December 20, 2008

I bought this keyboard for my wife to use at work. She does a lot of data entry as a community wellness nurse. She says that the new keyboard has reduced finger and wrist stress significantly. It fits her small hand size perfectly. She has been typing at least 6 hours a day lately to get all the data entered before the end of the year. She is not nearly as tired as she was with the old standard keyboard. Her only complaint is that the new keyboard does not fit her tray as well.
