5.0 Customer Rating Upgrade mouse, January 6, 2009
By M. Lott (Semmes, AL. USA)
I purchased this so that I could get the accuracy of the laser. I play games often and hated the roller-ball mouse. When I got the mouse, I noticed a button on the side and when pushed, it makes the screen zoom in for easier reading and examining. I am very happy with the purchase.

5.0 Customer Rating Solid and Cheap, December 27, 2008
    By Bernard Chapin (CHICAGO! USA)
I had a lot of problems with mice over the years so I went out and bought this one a few months ago for my work computer after the old one went on the fritz. At home I have the wireless Microsoft model which continues to work great, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a second one. Further, for what I do the mouse has to be durable...which this one certainly is. I'm constantly taking it out and packing it up and have had no problems regarding the wire or its responsiveness. With the USB plug-ins, I've found that the wire cuts down on the potential difficulties that you may have. Also, I like that I'm not perpetually changing batteries. I got this one on the cheap from a big box store and have no complaints with it whatsoever.

2.0 Customer Rating Good software, BAD MOUSE!!, December 27, 2008
By John Lehman (Daly City, CA USA)
When I first plugged it in and started using it, I found it a little uncomfortable. I have what they call a "fingertip grip", so anyone with a similar type of grip should probably stay away from this thing (however you could probably get used to it after a while).

On the plus side, the mouse software was very handy and well integrated to the default windows mouse settings. It was easy to change the function of each button to do different keys and macros, which is handy because the default button maps are basically useless for anyone except maybe my grandma.

But the main killer here is the middle mouse button. It is very difficult to use correctly, since you have to kind of pull it in towards yourself when you click it, and the button is really freaking stiff. Not only that, but there is a built-in .5 second delay, which is really really REALLY annoying if you're using programs like Maya and middle-click a lot. After 5 minutes using Maya I knew it was time to get a new mouse.

All in all, I'd say stay away from this stinker, especially if you use high end software or you're a serious gamer.

    **Update**
It's been a few days, and I my hand is really starting to ache (I recommend everyone search google for "mouse grip type" and figure out what kind of grip you have before you get a mouse). I've found the middle button to be utterly useless, as it works maybe 1 out of 10 clicks. To be fair, I haven't noticed any problems related to its pointer accuracy, but thats hardly a concelation when nearly every other aspect of this thing is either physically painful or frustratingly difficult to use. Its seriously ludicrous how many perfect reviews this thing has gotten. If you buy this, make sure to keep the receipt, and don't say I didn't warn you!

3.0 Customer Rating Clumsy to use., December 17, 2008
    By L. Marti (Iowa)
This mouse was not comfortable to use either for me or my husband. It is not a fast mover or pick up objects such as puzzle pieces. If you only need a mouse for office work it would be ok, but NOT for any games.

1.0 Customer Rating Not a good mouse for gamers, not a great mouse period, December 10, 2008
    By Cain (USa)
I purchased this mouse at a local superstore for $20. My hand outruns the pointer regardless of speed. During gaming it is hard to get the middle button to activate due to it's latency and the fact that the side scroll tilts with far less pressure than it takes to press down the wheel. Even with accelerated scrolling turned off the wheel either over or under shoots it's mark consistently. During document browsing, as you hold down the side scroll the middle mouse will eventually give in and start the hand free scroll. All in all this mouse is worthless and I would not recommend anyone to purchase it unless I was seriously mad at them.
