Sony has forced us to use this little cable if we want to watch HD videos direct from the camera on our HD Monitor/Television. The price isn't that bad really and the product works as you would expect. It is fun to watch the ohhhss and ahhhsss from friends that see HD home video for the first time.

This cable probably works fine, but unfortunately it is not compatible with the newer Sony models! The connection adapter is much larger than the new ports allow. So be careful in your selection.

Glenn P. GutierrezKinda bogus that it doesn't come with the Sony HDR-SR7 that I purchased but you need the cable for High Def. At least Amazon has it at a good price.

Pioneer PDP-5080HD 50" 720p Plasma HDTV
The TV is excellent. However, the plasma screen was broken on the first two deliveries. The third delivery was fine. Since I purchased the TV from 6Ave Electronics, a certified online Pioneer dealer, there were no problems concerning the return. I have heard horror stories about purchasing HD TVs online but 6Ave did a great job on returns and price protection.
