5.0 Customer Rating Fantastic Book, September 30, 2008
By Nicole M. Connors (Warwick, RI)
What a fantastic book. I'm not very good at writing reviews for books, but I can say that I could not put this book down, and I'm usually easily distracted.

4.0 Customer Rating Read in one day, May 11, 2008
    By BSM (Ashford, CT USA)
In contrast to the Grisham book I had just finished that took me weeks to get through, I started and ended Stillwatch in the same day. There was never a good place to put it down. I always wanted to find out what was going to happen or to see if the person I suspected was the culprit. This book weaves a few different storylines together and although not a book destined for the classics, was a highly enjoyable read. If you're going on vacation, don't expect this one to last you the week!

3.0 Customer Rating Deadly domestic politics, December 25, 2007
By Hinkle Goldfarb (R.R. 1 Highway 162, Butte City, California)
Pat Traymore is the plucky newswoman in this Washington D.C.-based story of domestic intrigue, in both the familial and political senses of the word. She is very likeable and with one exception SPOILER ALERT (staying in her house after it clearly has become too dangerous) does not suffer from the one defect present in most of these books: being dumber than the reader. The plot has a steady pace bringing us to the expected climax, where all is revealed in an interesting, if not quite believable, manner.

Once again though, too many coincidences. ANOTHER SPOILER ALERT. Pat Traymore is making a documentary on Senator Abigail Jennings. The crazed bad guy stalking Ms Traymore just happens to be the adopted father of the intern working for Senator Jennings, and he also just happens to be the person who tended to Pat when she was an injured child? The Senator just happened to be having an affair with Pat's father -- and neither Pat nor the Senator nor the crazed stalker know of these coincidences? Come ON. Ms Clark, you're capable of better than this.

5.0 Customer Rating I told you not to come...., October 18, 2007
By James Ryan Mehaffey (Mooresville, N.C. USA)
Pat Traymore has come to Washington, to film a story on the life of Senator Abigail Jennings, the possible first female Vice President. Pat has her own prblems in Washington, and is staying in the house where her Senator father killed himself and her mother. But shortly after begining work on the story, notes begin to arive, telling her to stop, or it will cost her her life. With the help of an old romance, Pat begins to delve into the life of Senator Jennings, and to find out the big secret of Abigails life, and what it has to do with Pat's parents deaths.

5.0 Customer Rating Classic MHC book Shines!, July 23, 2007
    By Megan (Richland, WA USA)
This is definitely one of MHC's better books, mixing suspense, politics, tasteful romance, murder, secrets, and psychopaths in to create a winning story. This is an interesting, quick read and it is certainly worth it.
