What could be more fun than to give a Super Stretch Flying Screaming Monkey to my two teenage sons. These monkeys are durable and the monkey's face is cute!

The Screaming Flying Monkey was been a BIG hit on Christmas, adding a bit of annyance, humor and "kid-play" amongst 3 adult children and relatives. Not only is the Flying Monkey odd looking as it is flung into the air, but the noise it makes while flying just makes you laugh for some reason. My husband took it to his annual "kick-off" meeting that was for all of his managers. It certainly was a GREAT "Ice-breaker" when everyone was anxiously waiting their turn to give their department presentation, the joke being no one wants the monkey on THEIR back! This may be a kids toy, but I think that adults appreciate it even more. Long live the Flying Screaming Monkey!



Flying monkey hit of the gift exchange, January 12, 2008

I recently purchased the flying monkey for a holiday gift exchange. It was an immediate hit as everyone wanted to set the monkey sailing across the room. Eventually the youngest person at the gift exchange - aged 12 - got to take it home.

The reason I gave it a four for educational value is because it teaches coordination. You need to manuever the arms over your fingers like a sling shot and then let it go before it will make its monkey screams. Additionally, it allows creativity. One of our monkeys brought by Santa is hanging around our banana bowl in the kitchen. The other one shows up mysteriously in various places throughout our house. This toy is a gift which does not end up stuck in a box or put away in the closet never to be seen again. So much entertainment for such a small price - awesome!
