It is merely a booklet....and a teeny tiny one at that. There is not a single picture throughout which makes for an uninspired looking recipe booklet.
Second, almost every recipe is essentially identical. Only the fruit is different or a different sugary topping is listed. How dull and monotonous.
This booklet should be given away as a freebie and not sold. Even at $5.95, it is definitely not worth buying. Save your money and buy something worthy of your purchase price. Only the ones with outstanding reviews make the cut! Having tasted numerous baked goods of Karen's for many years, I heartily recommend BOTH of her cookbooks! They also make great "wishing well" gifts for showers. Add a scone pan and you have a regular gift that is both unusual and interesting. Scones are wonderful for brunches and breakfasts, but they are also delicious for snacks and desserts. You will be very glad that you bought this cookbook! |
