Realistic 2 player co-op play, October 29, 2009
By

The two player feature of this game is amazing. Playing with AI characters can be a bit difficult and distracting trying to keep everything coordinated, but communication with a reliable friend is so much funner and easier. I just wish this game had a 4 player mode without having to go online.
A Great Sequel!!, October 27, 2009

Steven HerringThis game was a must have when it came out. This game took all the mistakes of the first installment and fixed every one of them. There is actually a nice amount of customization for the armor and weapons. There is now 3 respawns in terrorist hunt and the graphics have been improved nicely. The campaign is based on XP that unlocks different armor classes and camos during the campaign, and you can use your XP online. The only gripe I have is that you can't transfer you data, I have to swap in my old hard drive to play it.
Presentation- The game has some pretty cool menus showing off your uniforms. The graphics are great, but a few cut scenes would have helped the story. The music is epic as always and the enemy dialogue is still pretty entertaining. 4.5/5
Graphics- The graphics were a nice improvement in this installment. They are crisp and overall pretty well done. The uniforms are elaborate and every seam in your vest is shown with great clarity. The guns are also pretty well done. Overall the game has a great look. 4.5/5
Game play- Everything that was wrong with the first one was fixed for the sequel. There are some pretty sweet upgrades in guns and uniforms. The change of camos is pretty cool. The addition of the XP system is a great way to get you to play the game. Also the lack of respawns in the terrorist hunt is now fixed with three lives per match. The levels are also a lot better. There are about as many missions as the first, but these are more memorable. This game overall is 1st/3rd person shooting at its finest. 4.5/5
Story- This is a story of betrayal. It is a pretty good one. I didn't understand some of it as I didn't remember the story from the first one. Some cutscenes would have been nice to add a movie feel to it, but that seems to be a problem in a lot of games. 4/5
Lasting Appeal- This game has an online that is pretty well done, along with some addicting co op adventures, and a level up single player. You keep playing the game in order to rank up and unlock more items to use on your character. 5/5
The Verdict: This game was a great sequel it fixed almost everything that plagued the original and was one wild ride. The online and co op add to the replay value, along with an addicting XP craving campaign. If you don't own this game pick it up you won't regret it. Overall 4.5/5
GREAT FATHER AND SON GAME!, October 22, 2009

This game provides as excellent opportunity for both of my sons and I to play. The split-screen mode is a lot of fun. There is ample variety to make this game exceptional. I have beat the single player mode and spent many hours enjoying it on normal level. The graphics are good (not the best) but very suitable for the game. The environment is not destructable (if that is your thing) but you must use some planning ahead in order to be successful...not a run and gun game. I normally sell games upon beating them....but not this one!
A little "combat immersion" after work, October 19, 2009

P. LamprosAs someone who has never played any of the previous Rainbow Six games, but love first person shooters, I decided to give this one a try. A used version off Amazon.com for about $20 bucks is hard to beat. I simply love how this game puts you in the middle of the action. The AI in this game is quick and sometimes downright crazy - so trying to take them out before they surround you is never boring. I do wish that the splitscreen mode in this game could be changed to horizontal, bc when i'm playing with friends its all too easy (even on a 42" flatscreen) for an enemy to come around a corner and kill you before you even see them when its a vertical split. You just don't have enough peripheral view in my opinion to have a good chance to live very long in some levels. You're constantly shifting your view from left to right in attempt to avoid getting blind-sided. This gets less of a problem with more co-op time under your belt. But you are GOING TO DIE MANY TIMES. If you are one of those players that has to get it right the first time every time, this game is unforgiving. Before you buy this game, get it in your head that you are going to get shot up more than your fair share of times. When this happens, grab another handful of chips and go again. The game overall is just so much fun, and after work I love to hit up the "terrorist hunt" mode and have a cold one. Never gets old. With the type of combat immersion and sharp graphics, there's no reason why you shouldn't pick a copy up at it's current reduced price.
