There's certainly nothing pretty about this charger kit - however, that's not what I was going for. After looking on the Apple website, and doing some comparison shopping on Amazon, this is the set I settled on. With my Amazon Prime, I ended up paying less than $5 for this.
It does exactly what I need - I leave the car charger piece in my car, and then when I'm traveling with my ipod, I charge it that way - otherwise, I just plug it into the computer. I found it difficult to find an inexpensive wall charger for my ipod, and this is perfect, the plug also can be used for other USB charger items, my sister has used it to charger her Zune in the past. For the price, you really couldn't ask for anything more.

All parts arrived as advertised. The retractable usb cable is the best (and only good) thing about this product.
The wall plug adapter shorted out (with bright electrical arcing visible through the white plastic casing, and a strong burning smell) the very first time I plugged it in.
Stay away from this product. It is not worth the risk.
